Governor Jim Doyle and First Lady Jessica Doyle Awarded WEMTA Governmental Service Award
The WEMTA governmental service award is given for outstanding service by a governmental leader in support of school library and technology programs.
The Doyles have exhibited a true collaborative partnership in support of public education across our state and have recognized the importance of strong programs that produce high student achievement in Wisconsin schools. Their support of reading literacy, technology, and 21st century learning is an inspiration to those of us who work with library media, technology, and information literacy in Wisconsin Schools. Therefore, we nominate Governor Jim Doyle and First Lady Jessica Doyle for the 2009 WEMTA Governmental Service Award.
