Construction!!!

Today is the first day of spring and that means road construction season.  There are two major street projects in Madison that might have some affect on car travel to and from the conference.  For the most current information please see the City of Madison web site at http://www.cityofmadison.com/transportation/roadworks/.

Major construction is underway this season on East Washington Ave/ US 151, mostly around the Aberg/US 30 interchange.  Lane reductions are in effect for both East Washington and Aberg around the interchange. If anyone is traveling on Saturday, Aberg/HWY 30 will be closed 7AM to 10PM for a bridge removal.  Sunday through Tuesday, roads will be open, but with lane reductions.

Work is also underway on the University Ave./Gorham St. corridor, including Broom St.  Lane reductions are in effect.  Gorham is one lane from State St. to Bassett St., where it become University Ave.  University Ave. is two lanes from Bassett St. to Park St.  Broom St. is one lane from Johnson St. to Gorham St., this means that Broom is only one way for this segment.
